You know, it's funny, a small time (yet, in my opinion, still talented) youtuber has a show called animated atrocities, and night b4 christmas was his most recent episode. And both your videos came out roughly around the same time.
Another great list. Some I knew like Olive the other reindeer, The Night B4 Christmas, but most of these I have never heard of. Glad to see another review from you. Must have taken some time getting the footage. Some of the footage looked like they never crossed the threshold into DVD or BluRay. Anyway I was wondering if possible for next year if there can be a Thanksgiving Special list. Cartoon Network had shown some in the late '90s early '00s but then I never saw them again. Merry Christmas and hoping next year will be great for you! ^_^
I'm glad you mentioned "Olive" and "The Nite B4 Christmas". I remember watching those when I was younger.
I was kinda hoping you'll mention a Christmas special called "Jolly Old Saint Nicholas" from 1994. Iremember one time it aired on Fox Family years before ABC took the rights of the channel. It was about this dog and cat kid characters (the girl cat reminded me a bit of Sally from the Peanuts) and they enter this Christmas pageant/talent show because the prize was money, and they wanted to use it to buy more gifts. Meanwhile, there's this mule character who tries to sabotage the performances of the other contestants of the show.
It used to be available to watch on Amazon, but they took it out for whatever reason. I heard you can still buy it on VHS from Ebay.
Yeah, Olive's still fairly well known, but never seen the entire thing. Remember Tattertown, but forgotten it until I did some more research on Ralph Balkshi. Saw Troll Prince in the early days of CN. Always found it odd they referred to the king in the singular context despite having two heads that clearly think separately. Plus, I was pretty surprised that it was pretty blatant about the Christian elements compared to other Christmas specials that simply imply them more than anything. Most of the others are vaguely familiar at best.
oh god! "the night B4 Christmas"! i remember finding an old, recorded VHS with this movie on it and my oh my, nostalgia mode was engaged! i remember seeing this, some jiggle bell rock movie (something about a elf wanting to be a rock star), some 3D movie about three brothers that are Santa's sons and "Bump in the night" TV show's Christmas Special. man, being a 90's kid around Christmas was great.
