This was me when you called season 3 "a shitty abomination of a third season" ever since then some bronies are calling you the Irate gamer of My little pony but I would never call you that Because no one deserves to have that title I'm was just mad at you that's all and that's your opinion not mine so I'll still watch Your videos cause you're Still one my favorite reviewer's on the site that is all
at least you didn't succumb to the irrational hate that's been garnering around his fence.
No offence to fans who are still mad at his opinion...
actually, what am I even saying? All the offence to fans who are still mad at him for having His own Opinion.
I'm actually impressed, VERY Impressed at how easily those haters have forgotten all the words and songs of praise Chad's offered to MLP:FIM when it deserved it and how easily they've demonized his opinion of how the show slipped from its original intentions, simply because he offered a logical analysis where there was only euphoria, temporary euphoria mind you.
It's reasons like these why I sometimes can't help but shake my head in disappointment at the fandom.
Despite the overall darkness of this piece, I still really like it, because it encapsulates what's so great about this fandom. Even when the writers err (and I'll admit, the more I think about "The Mysterious Mare-Do-Well", the more flaws become apparent), the fans are still more than happy to take their ideas and run with them, building upon them and crafting great thought-provoking works of art and fiction. This work alone could be the jumping-off point for an entire episode. I admire a show that inspires that sort of creative thinking
I'm a but confused as too what this drawing is trying to portray. I see Half Note (or Aura as she's called now) crying and a book bag(?) with a newspaper clipping... Um is it like supposed to be a clip revealing the true identities of MDW? Wait ok let me see if I understand it now. So Aura looked up to Mare Do Well, and is now crushed that her "hero" was actually a fraud? I don't know I have a hard time understanding art like this, mostly cuz I actually didn't hate the episode. I just saw Dash being an abnormally big dick, who then learns her lesson. I honesty saw nothing wrong with it, it was a good episode if one doesn't go poking holes in it and reading into it so deeply. It's a good drawing don't get me wrong, it's very pretty and emotional, Im just stupid and don't get it
What is being portrayed here is that the filly in the bottom panel looked up to MDW as a true hero, and was devastated when it was revealed she was all an act. She had come to see her as an idol to look up to, hence the paper visible reading "Who I Want To Be Like When I Grow Up". She learned the hero she admired so much was just an act, and it crushed her.
I'm just going to say one thing. I didn't hate that episode, infact I love it. Apparently everyone hates it, but I don't see why. I just assume it's because they all love Rainbow Dash. I would say my thoughts on why I feel it's so misunderstood, but LeTekky already said it perfectly.
